No call without a quote
When nothing you wrote decided a call, Copious made one anyway, on a reason it supplied. That was wrong. Now it asks first.
Every ruling quotes the words that decided it. When nothing you wrote decided it, Copious filed a call anyway, with a reason it supplied itself: "Nothing here is high-stakes, and anything wrong is easy to reverse." That was a guess. On Oct 30, 2026 we ran twelve support descriptions it had never seen. Six calls were wrong. One said "If we get it wrong, a stranger gets into someone's account," and Copious handed it to AI because nothing was high-stakes.
Now a draft with nothing behind it makes no call. It reads NO CALL YET and asks what the old reason guessed: does anyone decide anything on these tickets, can a mistake be undone, and what's at stake if it goes wrong. Only the questions your description left open. You answer, Copious makes the call, and What decided it shows your answers beside your words. File the ruling doesn't appear until there's a call.
It reads more of what you write, too. A stranger getting into an account, or someone's safety or legal standing, keeps the work with your people. "The same two clicks every time" is automation. "Engineering never tells us when a fix ships" is a process to fix first. "Customers ask us to" says who starts the ticket, not who reads a reply.
Rulings filed on a default reason now read NEEDS RE-VERIFYING, with the line "Filed on a default reason, not your words." Re-rule one and Copious asks what that reason assumed. On Oct 30, 2026 that was one ruling across every Record.
Where this doesn't hold: a short description gets two or three questions before the call. That's the cost of a ruling that quotes you, not us.
